It's been very annoying to not know how armor will look on my characters until it was too late, and I had spent my money.....

Very impressive detail and explaining. Should be interesting if the features were implimented.

Just a thought; would you only be able to see the armor that the particular crafter you're talking to can make, or would this be better implemented at some single location, where you could preview any and all armor from the areas you've "unlocked" by visiting, (i.e. if you haven't been to Cavalon you cannot preview Luxon armor).

Not to mention it looks fine on wiki, but ends up totally different and often ugly when you get it on your character. I put Ancient armour on my female NF monk and she looked TERRIBLE, but it looks great on my Tyrian monk...

I would love to see the Fitting Room thing. I made a serious mistake on some creations for my Warrior (1st Char 3 years old) and i not deleting her but makes it so hard to find a decent armor without seeing it on her. but don't want to just blow money away if it don't look right or good enough for my tastes.

Okay one problam with that, Not every Char looks the same, Has same skin tone or looks. So the armor will look diffrently then the on eon Wiki unless you made the char that looks just like them or damn close. So while i agree with what you said, I also disagree because it does look and fit diffrent per char.

For example guildie of mine has a female warrior. average size has a tanish skin tone to it. bought 15k knights. looks awesome. i got it on my warrior which is as tall you can make her. and pale white (hence why i said what i did in my post above yours here) and anything with skin showing on her looks completly aweful. And not knowing how crappy it would look i blew the money onloy to turn around and salavge all the pieces of armor to get a diffrent set.

Talk about thread necromancy lol, but at least it's a good one that's been exhumed . It's about time a system like this came along. Since the time this thread was created Anet have delivered some much needed improvements, and with the scale of many of the expansions and additions to the game they've made over the years an armour and full dye preview such as this one is well within their capabilities. Yes, we have a dye preview just now, but I still think we should have the option to see how a new armour is going to look and what the colour will be like without having to buy expensive dye(s) and test them.

Does the wiki have 3D support to show what it would look like in game and a dye preview system?

I think if this system was put in place, many male Necros wouldn't have regretted buying the highly questionable Vabbian armor. Poor Necrodudes...

But yes, something like this would be awesome, and would do on of two things: 1. Excite the person, seeing how awesome it looks on their character, and 2. Disappoint the customer - and be able to prevent them from spending money on an armor they wouldn't like.

This would just be so helpful, armour does look different on wiki than actually on your character.

Not so much of a thread necromancy, as it seems to have been constant the whole time, with a couple months inactive here and there.

/signed for this idea, would be nice to see this.*as I forgot to /sign before heh*

Tell that to every people who posted on Graphical Anomalies...

/signed, I don't see how it isn't possible, there is a dye preview and a cape preview already, and it could be very very handy.
